Goals
This is a One Name Study to collect together in one place all of the members of the global Nagle family tree. We hope other Nagle researchers like you will join our study to help us fit together piece of the puzzle that will help us all connect our families.
Task List
What has been done:
- Nagle Census Data for Canada 1842 to 1920 has all been entered.
What you can do:
- Start by entering all of your own Nagle family members, supported by sources. It is especially helpful if you can enter as much biographical data as possible for each person, rather than just uploading a GEDCOM.
- Ensure that profiles for deceased family members are open. If they are locked for privacy, nobody else can add sources or information.
- Strive for accuracy rather than family lore. If a relationship or bit of information is unconfirmed, note it in the biography section.
Location Research:
- If you have extra time on your hands, select a particular location and start entering all of the Nagles from that area. You can source these people through Census data, Farmily Search.org and FindaGrave.
- Francis Nagle is working on the Ottawa/Smith Falls/Drummond area and the Rathcormack, Ireland area.
- Tara Coulter is working on the New London, Connecticut and the Timoleague, Ireland areas.
- Peggy Nagle is working on the Clonakilty, Ireland and Illinois areas. Peggy is also working on entering Findagrave information for all of Canada.

PS: I have been working on my own branch of the Nagle family as a Covid project. I am 95% certain that my branch is the Garnavilla branch through to the Nagles of Derryclough. I sure wish that the records in ireland were a bit easier to find. Although if they were, the jigsaw puzzle might not be quite the same challenge. And I do like a challenge.
That would be wonderful if you could add any Nagle or variant in Australia. Every addition helps us grow our extended family tree. I know that descendants of Luke Nagle, brother of my ggg grandfather emigrated from County Cork, Ireland to Australia. So some of the Aussie Nagles would be cousins to me, Best, Peggy Nagle
